Code Of Conduct for Cornell Day of Data

Welcome to the 2019 Day of Data at Cornell University organized by the Cornell Research Data Management Service Group.

We are here to share and build experiences and skills related to working with data and to network with other practitioners in a fun and inspiring event. The Day of Data organizers are committed to providing an opportunity where all attendees can participate fully in the program and activities without concern of harassment or discriminatory behavior of any kind.

Harassment is understood as any behavior that threatens or demeans another person or group, or produces an unsafe environment. It includes offensive verbal comments or non-verbal expressions related to gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religious our political beliefs, deliberate intimidation, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention.

This code of conduct applies to all spaces occupied during the Cornell 2019 Day of Data, including our online environment. We recognize a shared responsibility to engage respectfully as we learn, network and have fun. Participation in this event indicates an acceptance of this Code of Conduct.
