Five HHS Agencies Release Public Access Plans for Federally Funded Scientific Research

The US Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) agencies released implementation plans (links above to plans) on February 27, 2015. The plans cover both scientific publications and digitally formatted data, with respective discovery and access points in PubMed Central and eventually healthdata.gov.
