As one of the US federal agencies subject to the OSTP memo of February 2013, the Department of Energy today released its Statement on Digital Data Management. They list four main requirements for data management plans for grant proposals. Grant seekers should:
- describe whether and how data will be shared
- provide a plan for making data displayed in publications digitally accessible
- reference data management resources to be used, including written approval from facilities when appropriate
- describe how confidentiality and privacy will be protected and recognize proprietary interests in data.
RDMSG consultants are able to assist grant seekers in identifying data management services and resources, and can review and provide input on data management plans. Contact us via email, or refer to our Data Management Planning Guide.
