Douglass Day 2024
- A Celebration of the Legacy of Frederick Douglass and Transcribe-a-thon for Black History
- Noon – 3pm, Drop in any time
- Olin Library Room 107
Contribute to a collective digital scholarship project, and an act of radical love for Black history. This year’s Douglass Day transcribe-a-thon will feature the Frederick Douglass Papers: General Correspondence (1841-1912), housed at the Library of Congress. Volunteers will transcribe pages from the collection, uncover details about Douglass’ life and make them available to all. We’ll also enjoy birthday cake, music, and a good time! Presented by Cornell University Library’s Digital Scholarship Services and the John Henrik Clarke Africana Library.

Part of a weekly informal discussion series to work our way through the data lifecycle over donuts. From the planning stages of a research project, through closeout and data archiving, we will discuss best practices and point to resources on campus and beyond.
